Direct Artesian is NGO inspired by two sisters Cherry & Kiwi (on a left, with the Founder of Avirat Meera). We work towards developing handmade skills to create sustainable livelihoods for marginalised communities, oppressed women coupled with strategic initiatives in a partnership with Avirat Meera, a woman-led social enterprise.

We facilitate training, provide raw material, microfinance and social support to Local Artisans, Oppressed & Marginalised Community in India through a cluster that accounts for 95% of women. And, we procure finish products from them and together with, Avirat Meera – a woman-led social enterprise buys the products, and/or sell products to diverse community globally to create sustainable livelihoods. Avirat Meera provides funds, design, skills-educations, materials necessary to produce handmade by artisans. 

Direct Artisan support, educate, train and assist local artisans (Handmade Creators) to showcase, Sell, Export their handmade products Globally, and we also make, manufacture, design and create handmade products under well-formed, trained clusters. We preserve local art, craft, design, culture, and generate livelihood, improve quality of life, avail educational opportunity, empowerment and protection to children’s, women and marginalised community.

We use raised funds, donation for the welfare of children, women and families through NGO program (1) Live More Family (2) Dear Cherry Kiwi – डियर चेरी कीवी, while funds received for the labour, creation of handmade by artisans directly goes to the artisans.
