Yes. JivanamAsteya Trust (“ जीवानाम्‌स्तेय ”) is an NGO/NPO Registered Under The Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, Registration Number: E/7385/surat AND Registered under Section 12AA of The Income Tax Act, 1961, Government of India.
How do you raise fund?

We raise fund from following sources; 

  1. The beneficiary of Program (for example www.https://jivanamasteya.org/project-karnav/ assist to resolve a complaint for free through its forum however in most complicated cases, beneficiaries pay us expenses and administration costs to meet our project running costs. We use additional costs from reserved donation.
  2. Corporate and CSR Activities.
  3. Fundraising Activities, Seminars, Workshop and other Activities.
  4. Individual Donors.
  5. Self Contributions from Founders.
Do you take fund or grant from Government of India?

No at moment.

As of now, we do not accept Government funding however we are working on several projects and it is possible we may approach grant or fund. We will make information available through a necessary medium in case if we take any grant from the government.

Do you take International donation?

No. As of now, we do not accept the international donation. We are however under process to apply for FCRA to accept international donation, resources to extend our scope.

“Project Karnav” (Formally Known as Chintaless Nagrik) is a project and Initiative of JivanamAsteya.org (Govt. Reg. Why do you charge? Why don't you Registered as an NGO?

Being an NGO our focus in not a profit but to serve the community in line with our objective. To empower consumer and citizen and national reform is our objective and since we get no fund from the government, we simply have designed “nonprofit Donation Plan” and we charge expenses and administrative cost to sustain Project Karnav. If anything remains from your contribution, it further help us to provide support to other victims.

Do you Get Threats when help us?

Yes. Many times when you file a complaint with us, we escalate with opposite party including escalating it with competent agencies. When serious complaint like money fraud, blackmailing, rape, assault, social media crimes is submitted, we take immediate and in depth action. We have significant presence on social media and at many platforms. When opposite party learn about us, they imply us in false allegation, sometimes they file complaint against us, and many times we have noted they post fake review on social media to discourage people taking our support. However, as a NGO we are well networked with lawyers and volunteer at no or minor charges who later help us manage litigation, taking acting against false review and further abuse. We also receive complaint from some people who want to take revenge against someone, and we sometime refuse taking such cases, if found unlawful, and those beneficiaries also abuse us. On social media abuse, most of the time platform like Google and Facebook when reported, removes false review and rating about us, however due to more engagement in non profit work, and time consuming process, we have now cultivate practice to keep false review on social media, and instead of reporting it to social media platform, we respond those review, and sometimes we also attach evidence for public study. We are dynamic team, work with the vision of social cause. We make mistakes, but certainly we do not deserve abuse for work we do. However, we work in the area whereas If we can not improve our tolerance, we can’t work in this domain. Hence, for the greater good, we pay the costs require. We take serious action against serious false allegation and abuse, at the same time, we do not waste donor monies on taking action against all the people who submit false review, sometimes we make respond, and leave it to the wisdom of readers. We run Free Forum on Facebook, and encourage anyone to join it for day to day minor issues, and serious issues which they want to address themselves with our basic supports, and advance support of Volunteer in group. 

When do you deny for Refund?

We offer two types of Guarantee.

1. 100% 3 Days Money Back Guarantee – from the date and time of payment, you can ask for refund in 3 days. However, If we have resolved your complaint, refund is no eligible. But, If complaint is not resolved, then you can ask for refund. We will refund no question asked. 

2. 100% Grievance Redressal Guarantee – This Guarantee does not apply on essential plans, as this is basic plan and under this plan we do not get an opportunity to take follow up, and actions to get adequate response. Grievance Redressal means, you will get response from the competent authority when complaint or petition is filed. It does not Guarantee that outcome will come in your favour. However, based on our experiences, most genuine complaints are resolved in the favour of victims, and consumers. Now you need to understand that you select plan based on (a) action you wish to take, and (B) disputed amount, hence in order to generate positive response in your matter, you need to allow us to take all steps required in your matter. If you stop us taking any steps under the plan, after we start working on your case, we do not refund, as by the stage we would have already invested all the costs paid by you, moreover we also use donor’s resources. If you default, and demand refund arbitrarily , we do not process refund. While we do not make profit, we ensure we do not make loss when you default. However, After taking all due steps, if you do not get response on your complaint, we compensate you amount equals to paid by you under the membership at our donor’s loss. This system is adopted by us to ensure al citizen and consumer get encourage to raised their complaint, and genuine complaint gets recorded on police and government record, which in turn reform law and order of the land. This is why as an NGO we exist to fulfil our Vision and Mission.

Who will file consumer petition at Forum?

We offer several options here.

First of all, Consumer Law encourage citizens to file Grievance directly without engaging lawyer. Typically, we have found that consumer forum in India runs cases like a Civil litigation which consume more time. If lawyers are engaged, the costs of litigation go up sharply. We have been reported fees as high as in thousands and lakhs by the lawyer. 

We eliminate that heavy charges for you and encourage self fining of complaint so the matter run as fast as possible. Consumer forum is different than other court. People here are friendly and cooperative. Generally consumer file petition and evidence, then after opposite party appears and he would submit his reply, and then both party will submit additional replies, and reply of the reply, and final argument, complaints, objection, etc. Our panel lawyer and We take care of this entire part. In fact, when opposite party or consumer forum makes any error, we further escalate it further to the top level department.  

To submit a complaint to the forum in your city, 

(1) you can submit the petition that we send you to the forum address we provide, OR

(2) if you are busy, you can send any of your friend, relative of family members for the entire process to the forum, OR

(3) If you do not want to go with option (1) and (2), then we will post entire petition, and regular submission to the forum directly, having said that you provide us necessary consents.

In our opinion, we have noted that mostly, when we file petition directly, with strict actions and steps without lawyer or middle person, matter is addressed well in 6/9 month. Please be informed, when we receive a consumer complaint, mostly it resolved by the opposite party in few hours to days. In a rare cases consumer requires to approach forum for final solution, whereas they can ask full refund, legal costs, interests, apology letter, legal actions and compensation. Be informed, after selecting consumer non profit plan, if you deny above option 1 to 3, in that situation, no redressal may be achieved, hence When you deny option from 1 to 3, you become default, and no refund will be processed. We have also noted that sometimes beneficiary deny for option 1 to 3, and posts negative comments on us. We condemn that. This is unfair to the 700+ volunteer working with the NGO from all sources, without expecting benefits, and we try to focus on result and resolving complaint in less time with your due cooperation. If we can not run this project successfully, this will be advantage to the people and companies who abuse consumer and citizens like us. Project Karnav is a NGO project run by people like you. It is reasonable to say that the amount paid by you under paid non profit membership plans are to maintain IT, Admin and legal costs to run this project, including management of website, monthly and yearly costs of the software we use to manage complaints. We charge costs lower than we it incur us, hence, we make no profit, however, we have additional volunteer and resources donors, with whose help, this project have been a success. What does word "Resolve" "File Complaint" , "Beneficiary" etc. means?

Wherever you read “file a complaint” “resolve Complaint” it refers our free or paid support in the form of information, legal information, social support, assistance, drafting, posting and escalation of your complaint before competent authority excluding legal representation before any authority including court, government, police and any other corporation of any nature. we work on good faith and best effort basis. We mainly focus on consumer citizen empowerment and if such rights are violated, we put a solid effort in work to bring best possible result. We indeed have higher satisfaction and complaint solution ration. For us, you are not the customer, but Beneficiary who takes advantage and support of NGO project, from who support system of NGO actually exist. This access of facilities also carries terms and legal policy, which you generally sign online when you post your complaint with us.

Do you give a guarantee that my complaint will be resolved?

We give 100% Redressal of Grievance Guarantee or 100% 3 days Moneyback Guarantee, however, there is no guarantee that your complaint will be resolved up to your expectation. We Work on “Best Efforts Basis” We don’t guarantee resolution as per your expectation.

From our experience, we have seen that Government department/Officer do respond favorably to genuine complaints based on our interaction, strategy, and application of knowledge, further backed by aggressive social campaign and escalation of complaint at International level. We make effective use of RTI, Filing of Grievance Online to Government Department and Press Release etc., that it becomes impossible for the corrupt officer to resist. We give you assurance if your complaint has merit, we will fight until it is properly addressed.

For Brand and service provider, they operate under government rules and regulation, and their licenses also come with conditions under which they have to follow certain code and conduct dealing with their consumers such as complying with consumer rights, food safety, local laws and etc.  Any brand, that wishes to sustain, has to keep their customer happy and do well with their ORM (Online Reputation Management). We have an effective tool to influence their ORM if they are unfair to their consumer. Furtherance to that, We give full support for consumer court case. Do I need to hire a lawyer for filing the complaint?

No.

The consumer protection act encourages a consumer to appear before them without a lawyer. At Project Karnav, we do not retain any advocate/lawyer to represent you, however, we prepare your petition, collect and exhibit evidence effectively, that you may not require an advocate. Besides, at all stage of the hearing, presentation, we will guide you and if require escalate your grievance in the capacity of the NGO before the president of the consumer forum to expedite your matter in the best interest of justice. You save heavy fees of advocates, and it will significantly save time when you appear on yourself with NGO back up. Consumer Courts are separate from civil and criminal courts, and they are consumer-friendly and helpful.

Police Station visits and while writing a statement, you need not require presence of lawyer as a mandatory criteria.

you do not need a lawyer to file a complaint. However, if you require a lawyer, we can TRY to help you find a good one. You can also explore our custom support whereas we coordinate, retain advocate for you with your consultation, and make a team to achieve common goals. we can talk to your chosen lawyer. our goal in the process will be to ensure your lawyer is efficient, affordable and helpful to you. This is not a service, it’s free support. We encourage you, to defend your right as this ensure procedure flow smooth, fast and highly affordable. Do you offer support on Phone?

Your grievance is important to us. We receive hundreds of complaints each day and it is essential we work equally on each of the complaints. We are effective and efficient in online complaint management system and assure you, if we need to reach you we will take your appointment and call you back.

please be inform that we do not offer services over the phone (i.e your phone may remain unanswered/ off) for communication as we have an online ticket system for the same. This is to justify your plan and overall complaints that we receive. It never means we give less importance to your complaints, however, we work hard and practically to assist you to resolve your complaint.

If you have any emergency, feel free to post your message or write us at info@jivanamasteya.org so your case manager will take your time slot and revert on phone. It is in fact better way to communicate over ticket system online so appropriate conversation records are maintained.

Apart from your complaint, keeping the cost of expenses down is another goal we work hard for. We are an NGO backed up a cause-driven social project, who does not focus on profit and hence we would appreciate your patience, understanding and realistic expectation while we work on your complaint.

Is all your plan suitable for any complaint?

Absolutely Yes!

If you want assistance in filing FIR or Filing Complaint Against Police Officer or Support for lodging Grievance against Government or their employee or say, you want to escalate your complaint to brand or service provider, we have set up fix categories that meet the various requirement of yours. 

Yoy may find more support services under your selected plan however you will be offered only those or all services that are applicable in your case. We have design general plan to keep is affordable yet efficient to redress. 

we expect you select plan based on the result you want, impact you want to create. do not always compare plan with disputed amount as that may or may not justify your case. Your right, grievance are invaluable and we are here to nurture that.

Can I Pay Later once my Complaint Resolved?

No.

Being an NGO, we offer free support to many beneficiaries. We are always short of funds.

When you wish to watch a movie in Cinema, you must pay in advance. you cannot pay later even if you do not like Movie. We never charge additional amount to you or Any Percentage when you get refund, compensation or your complaint resolved.  

Being an NGO we charge only Expenses + Fees to sustain our model, for our the cause we carry. We work on Best Effort basis. Read Terms and Policy on website before you select our FREE or Non-Profit Plans.

We do not accept the additional benefit offered by you, no matter what, in the process of assistance.

Do You Charge Extra Commission on Refund?

What you see in our non-profit plan is what we charge as non profit expenses. We never charge on the top of that. for example, We help you to escalate your issue with Real Estate Builder for the refund of 15 Lakh INR and you choose any of our plans, that is the final charge and we never demand any percentage or gift on refund amount. We are Non-Profit Organization and our support to you is our own cause to empower Consumer-Citizen.  

How would I know that you have File Complaint?

As soon as you file a complaint, you will be allocated immediate complaint ID on which you can track the status of your complaint. Moreover, you can send us further document and efficiently communicate with us.

  7. We extend our support and services to college, university and educational universities to inspire, motivate and train students for business skills. 
  8. we are non for profit. Charges paid are utilised towards research, development and administration costs. Addition surplus fund is utilised to offer grant in aid to deserving candidate, and to strengthen SEIAP program.

We have a network of professional volunteers who are sharing an equal vision with us to empower Indian entrepreneur and by the way of doing that, pushing economic reforms and growth positively and to keep that growth sustainable.

We only charge you to meet expenses, and part of our program we also offer free support and services to an entrepreneur who enrolled in the SEGP Program. We are a charitable organization and primarily run for not for profit basis, to achieve our specific goals and objective. When you pay expenses for the program, it ensures we remain self-funded and sustainable.

What does SEGP Guarantee mean?

After your selection;

  1. We will sign  Agreement with you and under that, we will assist you and train to set, start, run and grow your business and offer 100% money back if “Business Startup Setup & Operational” Guarantee not Achieved.
  2. During 8-week (tentative), we expect to set, start and run your business with you.
  3. Post-program/set up, we will extend our mentoring and coach support free for 6 Month to achieve that goal. (Under SEGP Program)
  4. you need to adhere to the terms of the agreement and no refund is payable if you violate the agreement. Monitoring and execution of agreement will be followed in eCMSC Platform.
  5. The intention of SEGP program is to produce social entrepreneurs for Businesses and Society, to encourage them to create a livelihood, innovative social idea, and initiate economic reform and make India’s global position remarkable. Hence, a startup entrepreneur is a Non-Profit Initiative.

 

What is the Fees for SEGP Guarantee Program?
  • ₹74,999 + tax (Actual Approximate Value ₹6,75,000) (With Success Guarantee)  (This will include 6 Month Coaching & Mentor Support From the end of 8 Week Business/Startup Set-up Process.)

For Economic Weaker Section and Women Entrepreneur, and other candidate, refer to Financial Support.

GST is only payable by you if we are required to collect on behalf of you/beneficiaries. As an NGO, we get tax exemption many times so we don’t put a tax burden on you. We only charge to administer programs and support. We do not intend to operate for profit. This program is a cause-driven project of Government Registered NGO –JivanamAsteya.org. 

What If I want to Study SEGP program but without Guarantee? do you reduce fees then?

Yes. The name of the program is Startup Entrepreneur Flagship Program (SEFP). The training method remains same except the resources we implement to deliver guarantee. Please note this program is not the part of offering, however we have made it available for knowledge seeker.

We want to focus on actual results and real businesses that produce an innovative solution to society and benefits to consumers, generate employment, and position India as a Leader in Global trade. Hence, SEGP and SEIAP are our key programs, and we strive hard to raise more fund for the entrepreneurs working under this programs. 

What is difference between SEGP and SEIAP program.

SEGP stand for StartUp Entrepreneur Guarantee Program.

SEIAP stand for StartUp Entrepreneur Incubation and Acceleration Program.

SEGP assist the entrepreneur to Start, Run and Grow their business with Setup and Operational Guarantee. It is a JivanamAsteya.org (NGO) funded program. The actual worth of the program is ₹6,75,000, however, the costs we take from an entrepreneur is ₹74,999.  This program train, coach and mentor an entrepreneur to cultivate leadership, CEO, MBA skills to run and grow business. An entrepreneur is expected to continue the growth of the business. This program does not include fund and costs of digital, social marketing, legal and accounting costs, IT and technology costs and much more. The duration of the program is 8 Weeks + 6 months of Free Coaching and Mentoring after 8 weeks. We also assist to raise seed capital and angel fund, subject to the terms of the program and investors.

On the other hand, SEIAP is an 18-month program that includes all the feature of SEGP and if your startup/application is selected for the program, you receive Seed Capital Fund from our Startup Entrepreneur Virtual Seed Capital fund. (SEVSC Fund) worth ₹33,88,800. Each startup that includes full costs of in-house Digital Marketing, SEO, Social Media Marketing, CA, Lawyer, Graphic, Web Development expenses, and it comes with the power of 13 virtual staff and even more than that to accelerate startup operation and scale it in no time. We assist for Angel, Banking, Private and Ventur fundraising too. We do not charge equity or profit made by the startup. In future, we expect to raise more fund for SEVSC Fund reserved for SEIAP Startups through CSR program run by corporations and Government. With SEIAP you are expected to do tasks and operation tin 18 to 24 month, hat any low or not funded startup does in 8 to 10 years, as it comes with the power of marketing, sales, digital promotion, advance IT, Web and Technology support and fund with Pan India dedicated CA and Lawyers.

With SEIAP program, we heavily rely on the surplus fund from the donation we receive from memberships, other donors, upcoming CSR funds and Government Scheme to fund our Incubation and Acceleration Support for every startup selected for SEIAP program. We charge non-profit membership charge ₹2,49,000/-  to meet the administration costs and costs to sustain the program.

Both programs are membership-based, where once you get enrolled, you are entitled to receive key lifetime premium benefits such as tools, upgrades, business resources, maintenance-related support, special offers and much more.

Why SEGP and SEIAP fees are very low?

Despite it offers solid training and guarantees, we are an NGO who operate with a specific goal to achieve and profit is not our goal. SEGP Program also comes with 6 Month FREE Mentorship and Coaching support. This is an expert, Focused and result oriented approach which is expected to yield you results beyond minimum goal set in agreement or as discussed case to case.

What is the selection criteria for Program?

 

Selection criteria are as below for the Program;

  1. Apply Online Here.
  2. We will call you to verify your details and credential, or Our Communication will begin from Startup Platform (eCMSC). Link will be provided after enrolment. 
  3. We will arrange a phone conversation to understand your determination and passion for entrepreneurship. (This will be informal, entrepreneurial style)
  4. If required we will ask for the in-person conversation to analyse your overall capabilities for entrepreneurial setup and management.
  5. No prior qualification is expected. No English proficiency expected.
  6. There will be several call conversation between you and mentor to set your expectation, understand your goals and issues and answer all your questions related to program and success.
  7. You will be emailed offer later. You will also receive intimation on phone.
  8. you will make payment. The scholarship may be offered to a candidate who is eligible at this stage. Loan and Interest-Free EMI may be offered at this stage from social partners.
  9. The program will begin with a set schedule.  On the first day of the program, we will sign an agreement with you. if you wish to discuss and take advice related to the agreement with your friends, expert or family, we can extend agreement sign period up to 7 days.
  10. The criteria for Guarantee program is more intellectual capabilities oriented and we select limited entrepreneur/startups in order to deliver the best outcome. Most of the component of SEGP Program is delivered on One on One to maintain business confidentiality however, SEFP program, generally delivered in the group. However, both the programs have facilities for one on one communication with mentor and coach.
  11. Selection for SEGP and SEIAP is critical due to limited seats and funding.

A Startup Mentor will arrange multiple conversation with you to understand your profile and initiate essential discussion to ensure you get the best out of this program. The program is rigorous and currently limited to 25 Entrepreneur each year due to guarantee involved. There are no educational criteria for admission to SEGP program, however we assess your passion, determination, present mindset and thought process to find your suitability for the program for the best outcome, success and rewards. Occasionally, coaching may mean an informal relationship between two people, of whom one has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance as the latter learns; but coaching differs from mentoring in focusing on specific tasks or objectives, as opposed to general goals or overall development

Mentorship is a relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. The mentor may be older or younger than the person being mentored, but she or he must have a certain area of expertise. It is a learning and development partnership between someone with vast experience and someone who wants to learn.

Mentorship experience and relationship structure affect the “amount of psychosocial support, career guidance, role modeling, and communication that occurs in the mentoring relationships in which the protégés and mentors engaged.

Do you offer Customize Support?

Yes.

Depending upon your business goal, we offer custom training, coaching or mentoring support. For example, if you are a running business who want to export its water bottle to Australia and looking for a buyer in Australia and wish to do million dollar turnover, we can take your goal as a project and work together to achieve a common goal.

This will offer you practical learning experience and less dependency on several professional so you can speed your business growth to more domain.

We may charge more than the regular program to meet our R&D expenses, or everything is mutually negotiable. when we charge our primary focus will remain on meeting our expenses, not focus on Individual profit. Expenses also includes administration of the project. Support of this category is covered under “Startup Entrepreneur Coaching and Mentoring Program” which is a specialized program available to limited entrepreneurs, and we do not promote it online as of now. 

Do you offer Scholarship or Grant?
Yes.

We offer relief, grant, and scholarship On SEGP (Guarantee) program to;

  • Candidate showing family income less than 1,50,000 lakh (PA) (up to 15% Relief) (Last 3 years of ITR is mandatory)
  • women entrepreneur (7% Grant)
  • Individual case to case merit basis scholarship is also available, depend on circumstances that push the organization to allow grant. (up to 10%)

On SEGP Guarantee Program cost is strictly limited to our administrative expenses hence may not be reduced however we may offer some concession when we have a necessary fund to manage few applications.

 

What language do you deliver training.

In one of our survey-based research we found, an entrepreneur wants to learn English but they are more interested in learning “business English” (i.e more popular sentences, terms in English to communicate with B2B and B2C). We found that entrepreneur wants delivery of training in their local language.

Hence at the moment, we deliver program in the following combination

  • English + Hindi
  • English + Hindi + Gujarati
  • Hindi
  • English (Online content may be in hinglish)
  • Gujarati

Since the major part will be delivered one to one, we will focus on individual requirement and enhance their skill for language to their respective choice of industry.

As of now, We are offering an online program in Hindi to benefit maximum entrepreneurs. However, it is also one to one program so, in an individual consultation, we prefer language preferred by the entrepreneur.

The program is entirely online, however we also offer offline option on demand.

 

Can I take Program Online?

Yes.

Absolutely, with the same program fees, an entrepreneur can avail program online or online-offline mix mode. We have Online Coaching and Mentoring Platform to assist entrepreneur to Set, Start, Run and Grow business and we also arrange Face to Face Webinar and Phone Conversation.

both the programs are offered completely online, and it will not affect the way you do business. We take advantage of digital governance and virtual business and service offering from government and private sector, which makes the tasks of setting up business easy, fast and hassle free. Government mostly offer all support including finance online too. 

What Expenses are involved in SEGP Program?

It is expected that you keep entrepreneurial vision and mindset while choosing our program.

The program covers full-fledged training, Business Coaching and Mentoring to Start Run an Grow. It also covers all licenses procedures, however, if any legal expenses occurred, you are required to make payment for it. Government fees are negligible. In most set up, we apply for a license in real time, as a team, CA, CS and other expert fees are saved. For Example for the registration of GST, MSME, there are no fees charged. For Import Export License, government fee is 500 INR Rupees.

It has been noted that expert charges 5000 to 25000 for GST, we do not encourage the entrepreneur to make such payments, but we train them to understand the system where they are about to work, in order to protect their financial and business interest. For website Domain and Hosting Charges are applicable, which are minors but to design mobile-optimized website, professional software customization, Digital Marketing, there is no charge involved and it is also included in the program. We train you like an expert to design a website for business, without coding requirement. That’s the beauty of other non-profit organization or institutions who have developed such tool. So you will, in fact, save more than half a million expenses, under this program.

Business investment should be your responsibility, however, our partners offer a range of fundraising opportunity for eligible startups. Generally, average SME who have started with us, have invested 2 Lakh to 5 Lakh to Start, Run and Grow their business and then, they raised fund through government funding. At Startup Entrepreneur, we focus on lean startup and creating revenue channel to source fund, income and to sustain business and then we push up for real development. Moreover, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Accounting, Marketing, Sales training, plans will be created and also implemented in your business full fledge. Therefore, no extra penny incurred to you, which otherwise charges in few thousands to lakhs of rupees. You won’t just leartn skills, you will also implement it in your business, and measure the results. 

For SEIAP, all expenses are covered in funding, including salary of virtual staffs.
