We offer legal and human rights support on a not-for-profit basis. Under our Subsidized Legal Aid (SLA) Scheme, costs for specialized or additional matters are minimal—covering basic expert and operational costs—and often partly or fully waived through donated funds. “Fees” reflect donations that help sustain access and extend support to more families. Rates may vary based on expert involvement.

We offer Two Types of SLA; (SLA = Subsidized Legal Aid)

• SLA – One-Time Aid: Focused, low-cost support for members—limited to a single draft, consult, or brief engagement.
• SLA – Add-Ons: Extended support modules for members—covering deeper, multi-step assistance beyond core benefits

Benefit Scope:

Comprehensive assistance while amplifying action. Support for one additional legal or social matter beyond the two Major causes in Changemaker and One Major Causes in Fighter and Activist Members. Includes strategic guidance, documentation aid, and escalation support—subsidized to cover basic expert and operational costs.

Eligibility:

Available only to active members. Approval subject to relevance, capacity, and prior cause coverage. SLA rules, terms, and benefit limits apply as per member category.

Note:

If a benefit is not part of your base Membership (Fighter, Active, or Changemaker), it won’t be available as an add-on. For example, the “Hide Identity” option is exclusive to Changemaker members and not offered in other tiers. Add-ons only unlock benefits one more time that are already listed under “Major Cause Coverage” in your base membership.

Major Benefit it covers:

By enrolling in the SLA (Subsidized Legal Aid) Additional Major Cause Add-on, you activate all benefits listed under “Major Cause Coverage” for one extra legal or social matter— as per (as mentioned under) your active membership. Please refer to your membership details for full terms and scope. Refer to Note above too.

Currently in Fighter and Activist Membership One Major Cause Coverage included; and in Changemaker Membership Two Major Cause Coverage included. Each add-on activates one additional Major Cause. You may choose as many add-ons as needed to expand your coverage.  

Major refers to the primary social or legal challenge you’re facing—such as family, health, education, justice, social inclusion, or startup & SME concerns—along with the essential aid provided under your membership plan, aligned with the NGO’s mission and objectives.

Renewal & Inactivity Policy:

• Primary Membership must be active and Renewed

• Valid until the process is completed, or for 1 year from the start date, or after 90 days of member inactivity — whichever occurs first.

Ongoing support or services available throughout your membership period—with no cost to you and fully funded by the NGO. Membership & Subsidy Support Legal Disclosure

Jivanamasteya NGO (“the Organization”) is a non-profit entity dedicated to providing justice-oriented aid, financial assistance, and subsidized support for its members. To sustain operations, adapt to evolving needs, and prevent misuse, this disclosure establishes the terms governing membership, financial aid, and subsidy-based support.

1. Non-Profit Nature & Legal Distinction

– The Organization operates on a non-profit basis, ensuring aid and subsidies are provided without commercial intent or profit-seeking motives.

– This membership, SLA Support, Add Ons, One Time Aid or any other support free or paid is not a service purchase and does not fall under the Consumer Protection Act. All financial support and benefits extended are based on non-profit principles and available funding, which may vary.

– The Organization may provide free or subsidized assistance, sometimes incurring losses to fulfill its mission. Members acknowledge this dynamic and cannot hold the Organization liable for financial sustainability decisions.

2. Flexible & Evolving Membership Structure

– Membership does not constitute a contractual right to permanent benefits—plans, subsidies, or additional support may change based on funding, organizational capacity, and strategic shifts.

– The Organization reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue membership plans, subsidies, or financial aid at its sole discretion, ensuring long-term sustainability.

3. Fair Use, Ethical Conduct & Restrictions

– Any misrepresentation, misuse, or fraudulent claim regarding membership benefits, subsidies, or legal aid will result in immediate termination of support and membership.

– Support is meant solely for ethical, justice-driven purposes; members found violating these principles may face restrictions or removal.

– Subsidized assistance is not transferable—only the registered beneficiary can utilize benefits. Unauthorized transfers may lead to immediate cancellation.

4. No Legal or Financial Claims

– Financial aid, subsidies, and membership benefits are goodwill provisions, not legally binding obligations. The Organization does not assume liability for any perceived deficiency, delay, or variation in support.

– Members cannot claim damages, refunds, or legal compensation for any modification or cessation of membership-based aid.

5. Accountability & Membership Closure Rights

– The Organization reserves the right to cease financial assistance and revoke membership if a member:

– Violates the legal policy or engages in unethical practices.

– Attempts to exploit subsidies or aid for commercial or personal gain.

– Fails to comply with organizational values and guidelines.

– Members are responsible for adhering to all terms, ensuring mutual respect for the Organization’s sustainability and fairness in resource allocation.

6. Periodic Review & Updates

– This disclosure and membership framework will be periodically reviewed, updated, or revised based on organizational needs. Any significant changes will be communicated through official channels.
